Today’s inspiration is a series of Vintage Pin-Ups!

First, a quote from Audrey Hepburn:

“There is more to sex appeal than just measurements. I don’t need a bedroom to prove my womanliness. I can convey just as much sex appeal, picking apples off a tree or standing in the rain.”

One of the most iconic pin-up artists was Gil Elvgren. If you think of a Pin-Up, you’re probably thinking of his work. I obviously can’t take credit for the following images in this blog post as they are his, I am inspired daily by these images though. Here are four of my favorite images!

The first two are: Photographer and Knitter

I love how playful these are! The photographer who is not shy and giving the camera a little hint of sexiness. The knitter is showing off a current work-in-progress (WIP) and you get that little hint of sexy. I love being subtle with sexiness. You don’t have to get out a measuring tape and measure your chest-waist-hips to show that you’ve got sexiness; you can show it doing the most ordinary of activities.Next, we have: a woman out on the town, and a woman with flowers.

These pin-ups have that innocent and sweet, but knowing look. I love how beautiful they are. These are the sort of things that inspire me as a photographer.

Next up, a few images from this past weekend’s boudoir sessions! I had the honor of shooting pictures of some very beautiful women that inspired me!
